We have arranged several beautiful events this year in every part of Italy but this wedding photoreportage in Portovenere it is surely one of the best work we have done.
Portovenere is an old fishermen’s village close to Cinque terre territory, on the west rocky promontory of Italy where the mountains touch the sea. We have driven six hours to reach it and also if we have not slept for another wedding in Rome the night before, we were completely excited about this elopement in the Italian Riviera.
Few vehicles, a colorful village, a brunch overlooking the seaside, an intimate ceremony with a breathtaking landscape. Could anything be nicer than it?
When we have met Michelle and Sean Paul at the hotel just few hours before their wedding , we have immediatly thought how beautiful and romantic they are.
They have planned their intimate wedding with such an elegance, that we have been honoured to be their wedding photographers.
The civil ceremony has taken place in Doria Castle ruins. In XII century It was the residence of the wealthiest family in Italy and also now that this hidden treasure it is quite abandoned keeps everyone astonished with the innate magic atmosphere .
A curios fact is that the guardians have given us the key of the castle telling us “For the next three hours you will be the owner” and they just disappeared in the steep path to the village . Could you imagine our faces when we received the typical medieval iron and heavy key? The owners of an Unesco word heritage, it sounds great!. We have been alone with Michelle and Sean Paul ,Viviana the wedding planner , the musician and the celebrant in this wide place. None else could enter. It’s been more thatn suggestive. Michelle and Sean Paul have exchanged their promises surrounded by an incredile view, the photo reportage in Doria castle has been magnificient.
A picture paints a thousand words so we leave you the pleasure to look the images.
Thank you Sean Paul and Michelle, we wish you all the best!
