What is documentary wedding photography?
A few months of the year, I teach art to children at school, and when it comes to the contemporary art lesson, they always say : “ Is that art? I can do it too!”
Most of them they’ll change idea when we go deep in detailed lessons but the question for you is documentary wedding photography it can be confined in “ Do you just grab a camera and casually snap candid photos?”.
Of course, it involves candid shots, but it’s much more than that. It’s about the anticipation, the waiting and the active seeking for the perfect moment. There’s no posing, no directing—our focus is on real emotions rather than staged perfection.

Does Documentary wedding photography mean no flexibility in traditional portraits?
While we focus primarily on documentary wedding photography in Italy we believe a wedding is a collective experience and we totally understand the importance of group shots or traditional portrait session. We’re always happy to accommodate group shots or traditional portraits, if that’s something you desire. While they aren’t strictly part of the documentary style, they are still an important aspect of your wedding, and sometimes they hold great significance for you. We are fully flexible when it comes to these moments. We’ll help you find the best time and setting ( without the distraction of half-eaten meals on the tables) ensuring everything flows perfectly. We also capture all the little details from the dress wedding dress to your illustrated invitations and any meaningful items.
What should I expect from a documentary style wedding photographer?

How did you become a documentary wedding photographer?
Me and Francesco come from an art background, having studied at university me set design and Francesco photography, where we developed a keen interest in painting, framing, and composition. When we transitioned into photography professionally, we brought that artistic perspective with us. Throughout my journey, we’ve always aimed to capture something a little different—seeking out the extraordinary in the everyday. More than just an acquired style, it’s something that represents us in life it’s something that reflects who we are in life. We love genuine conversations, carefully select our food, and put thought into our clothes… Becoming a wedding photographer in Italy with a documentary approach was simply a natural extension of who we are.
