An Arabian Night Themed Wedding
It is hard not to get seduced by Marrakech. Just three hours’ flight away from many European capitals, its famous historical heritage and lively energy make it a favourite destination for couples seeking an exotic wedding. From inspired traditional Moroccan weddings to adventurous Atlas Mountain elopements, Marrakech is chosen by couples from all around the world for the magical and vibrant atmosphere that brings an Arabian Nights idea to reality. With a wide range of venues (Palais Rhoul, Royal Mansour, Four Season Hotel and many more…), there is also a wealth of professional vendors that will help create an unforgettable event.
For us, it was the perfect organization and talented team of the Instants Magiques Marrakech, the event planners, that meant we were chosen to photograph our third traditional Moroccan wedding, in Marrakech.
The happy couple were Katja and Salim. Katja is a professional model from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Salim is originally from Casablanca. Both live in the Barcelona. They planned, not only a traditional Moroccan inspired wedding, but a real three day affair that connected their large network of international friends.
The event took place inside the private residence Addi ou Addi, a 20s structure deep in the Palmaraie district, designed by the architect Paul Sinoir. The extensive 6 acre garden with centenary palm and boomin rose garden makes the villa unique; an authentic oasis between the Atlas mountains and the lively city of Marrakech.
As wedding photographers in Marrakech, the radiance of a blushing bride never ceases to amaze us, but Katja’s natural beauty was exceptional beyond description. On her wedding day, Katja wore 5 dresses designed for her by Scubasilk, that made her look like a princess in a fairytale. Salim opted for an elegant black and white suit.
Katja and Salim opened the dance floor with the spectacular entrance in Aamaria and with round chairs; the guests could not wait to join them. The band Elya Events was sensational and party went on late into the night.
Katja and Salim deserve nothing but the best, and we wish them the best of luck in their future lives together.
