Being a wedding photographer in Umbria means a lot to us. It’s all about deep feelings and a strong connection with the area. Although we do enjoy working in wedding locations all over Italy and we are lucky to go abroad for weddings too, we still get great vibes and a particularly positive aura when we shoot a Umbria hamlet wedding. It feels atmospheric and magical, somehow.

We were so happy to capture the marriage of Mintu & Dan. The photojournalism-style wedding photos are the result of an event full of happy tears, smiles, and a strong, authentic friendship shown between the guests and newlyweds. The idea of big, flashy wedding didn’t appeal to these two sweethearts that opted for a intimate one, and it worked perfectly.

The hamlet of “Tenuta di Casa Bruciata”, Umbria, was Mintu & Dan’s. chosen wedding destination. It was the ideal venue for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and the couple could focus on each other, their marriage and their wonderful guests. Their chosen historic stone villa, complete with a private infinity pool, was a world away from their normal, busy lives, and it’s just perfect for all-in-one-location weddings.

Tenuta di Casa Bruciata is a complex comprising of four villas immersed in nature. It’s reached via a long, winding road with a pretty, scenic backdrop, just a few miles away from the Città di Castello hamlet and Perugia. Unlike Tuscany, Umbria is a quiet, peaceful area, which makes it the dream location for weddings. You can easily find off-the-grid venues immersed in unspoilt nature as well as magical, medieval hamlets steeped in rich history and magnificence.

The most beautiful feature about this paradise on earth is the sound of total silence, not to mention the uninterrupted panoramic view from the infinity pool. This made it ideal for unstaged wedding photos at sunset!

The bride got ready in the magnificent rooms of the Villa Casa Bruciata, and the Groom at Villa Belvedere.

The bride wore a custom creation of a talented Baota London stylist, who also happens to be a dear friend of Mintu’s. The Sicilian-inspired lace veil matched perfectly with the asymmetric long-sleeved wedding dress, which was carefully adorned with embroidered flowers. The dress itself was a divinely elegant champagne colour. Utterly beautiful.

The outdoor blinding ceremony was set up in the panoramic garden, complete with an arch adorned with pretty roses and white flowers, which was so romantic and thoughtfully put together. After the civil ceremony, it was time for couple portraits as well as family group photos. Traditional Umbrian dishes were served for dinner, which was set up in the new covered platform overlooking the picturesque view of the Umbrian panorama.

What we loved most about being Mintu & Dan’s wedding photographer in Umbria was that they had a intimate wedding but, at the same time, it was so stylish and thoughtfully put together. It felt very authentic. Thank you, Mintu & Dan, for letting us share your special day and produce photographs and memories for you that will last a lifetime.
